Verify Your Internet Connection

Click the ‘Start’ button on your computer. Click on the ‘My Network Places’ link and then click on the network connection of your choice. Click the ‘Connect’ button to your computer to the Internet.

Connect to the Internet with Internet Explorer

Open a fresh Internet Explorer window. Click on the Tools menu. Select the Internet Options choice from the drop-down box. Click on the Connections tab. Click on Setup to begin setting up your Internet connection. Connect your Web browser to the Internet by clicking on the ‘Next’ button in the prompt window. Choose options from your radio buttons options. You can either choose from a list of Internet Service Providers (ISP), set up an account manually or use a CD from an ISP. Open a Mozilla Firefox browser window. Select Tools in the menu bar and then Options from the drop-down window. Click on the ‘Advanced’ button. Click on the Network tab and click the ‘Settings’ button. Choose the connection you require for the Internet from the radio buttons. Click the ‘OK’ button.

Connect to the Internet with Netscape

Install Netscape for the first time, and you will be prompted to set up your Internet connection. Click ‘Next’ in the prompt to begin the setup. For dedicated Internet connections, you can choose the ‘I Already Have An Account’ option from the radio buttons. Select the phone number for your dial-up account from the drop-down menu after selecting ‘I Don’t Have An Account.’ Click the ‘Next’ button.
